OUR MISSION
The After School Spot mission is to provide a safe, engaging, resource-rich environment for the youth of Highlands County. We are the first and only dedicated teen space in the county that is 100% free for middle and high school students. We equip them with tangible tools for a better tomorrow through free classes in youth development, life skills, health and wellness, creative outlets, and peer engagement activities.
Meeting basic needs via food pantry, clothing, hygiene and school supplies.

We've cultivated an inviting, engaging, and interactive space so kids WANT to be here!
We offer a wide range of tween/teen-friendly amenities including multiple chalkboards and whiteboard walls to encourage hands-on interaction, even through our decor. We are always adding new fun items for them to enjoy and look forward to adding a punching bag and gloves as well as a volleyball set for them soon!

This mission is currently completely run on donations, fundraisers, and our founders' self-funding.
Everyone here is a volunteer and no funds are spent on salaries.
We are looking for a grant writer at this time.
